Listen everybody, to what I have to say,
Do you know anybody, who doesn’t wanna run away,
From the World in which we live in, where every day’s the same,
Working like a dog yet nobody knows your name.
Highlight on the news today,
The price is going up on alcohol again
And yet I can’t give it up,
Took it up just thinking it was upper class,
And now I can’t give it up,
The more I feel broke the more I need a glass.
Everybody has their habits, we know that some are bad,
But without them what would life be ? They’re all we really have,
Just like a man needs a woman, and a woman needs a man,
Work for all you’re worth, and make money while you can,
News flash on the radio,
Another tax on cigarettes ! Oh no !
I can’t give it up,
I know it isn’t good, sometimes it makes you couch,
And yet you can’t give it up,
When you wanna get high sometimes it takes you off.
All we need’s some satisfaction, a little spice in our lives,
Friday night’s the night for action, but take time to think twice,
We all need a little loving, we all need to play the game,
For younger generation, don’t say the sixties was in vain,
Put up a fight for peace and love,
What’s gonna happen next ? They’ll soon be taxing us on sex,
Because we can’t give it up,
Just think of where we’d be if it wasn’t for love, You can’t give it up,
Once you get started, You can’t give it up.
