It's uh, recording
[RUPERT]
Okay, off we off we go
[ELYON]
Hello Rupert, I want to apologize for my English, which is not
[RUPERT]
No need for apology
[ELYON]
Okay, perfect. Uhm... Usually, in the West, we consider happiness as the consequence of the acquisition of an object; What is your conception of happiness ?
[RUPERT]
Mh, Happiness is the nature of our being. It is the It is our natural condition. The natural condition of our self, or being. It is not derived from anyone or anything outside of ourself. It is just the nature of being
[ELYON]
And so, what is suffering ?
[RUPERT]
The veiling of our innate happiness
[ELYON]
And what is veiling that ?
[RUPERT]
What veils our being, it is a belief and a feeling that we are a temporary finite being. That apparently temporary finite self or being has to trace its way back, through the layers of its experience, letting go of anything that is not essential to it : its thoughts, its feelings, its actions, relationships and so on. And when our being is divested of all equalities that it derives from the content of experience, it shines at it essentially is : pure being whose nature is happiness
[ELYON]
Thank you
