I don't say much
But some might say I say too much through music
And it's true
And that's because I don't recognize life without it
You see, some people recognize life with love
For some it's drugs and for others it's money
But for me, for me it's music
I've tried being smart for other things
To maybe see what it could bring
But I've always ended up in the same space
Trying to find music in a different place
I felt sonder for those with the same trait
Trying to ignore your dreams and accept fate
That it just might not work out for you
That the avocation you love most isn't written out in your story
The fear of sacrificing and sacrificing and in return getting nothing
Risking your sanity and your money and your health
For something that isn't promised
Risking your happiness for potential loneliness
But imagine doing it anyway
That's what I did
To write about heartbreak and pain
To write about how miserable it is to stay
And then tell the whole world your narrative
And have people relate?
Saving lives through sentences and a melody
That's why I'd rather dance than walk
That's why I'd rather sing than talk
That's why I don't say much
But some might say I say too much through music
And it's true
And for that I don't apologize
